2026-09-23 irony of mohniye karm explanation
I was explaining about how deluding mohniye karma can be to mom and dad. Around how we can stay in the trap coz mohniye karma compels us to justify the wrongs that we are doing.
Diverted into giving real life example in below order:
- I wanted to share how even dad is exposed to delusion due to mohniye karma.
- By explaining how deluded with self/other's confirming bias he was about a relative and how well that relative has turned around his story now.
- Mom started praising that relative around dharma and all.
- I said we don't know what is happening within him, he is polished (coz he worked in sales), so what might appear as sambhaav, might just be polished presentation layer.
- Then Mom interjected and started saying that dharma has done it for him, he has a lot of sambhaav...
- I got frustrated coz she was looking at things at a superficial level and wasn't able to understand that what appears cannot be concluded with certainity. But she kept repeating her own and denied talking about my pov.
- That became the trigger and I flipped on her.
- She said dekho tum gussa kar rhe ho
- I said ofc I have to, you aren't listening to me otherwise.
- Justification for the feeling is part and parcel of mohniye karma !
- and that's the irony, I was trying to explain how complicated the mohniye karma is and how justifiying the act is the key facilitator of the trap and I ended up getting trapped in it while I was explaining it 🤦🏻♂️
This also made me realise how less control we have over others and ourselves.
I have been trying real hard to change dad, to pull him out of his Janjaals. This explanation was part of it, I just could not complete it.
Mohniye Karm King of all karma indeed!
I think I am able to detect simple triggers and work on the Corrective steps. But when the trigger is complex and multiple, it gets difficult to detect!
